Thinking of forming a New Year Resolutions that are actually simple. It’s just sticking to them but that’s tough. Anyone can list up a list of ”Must -Do’s” and “Have to Do’s” but practically, how many can walk the talk when it comes to following to our resolutions…It takes plenty of will power and strength combined with determination to achieve the ‘list’ of resolutions – at the end of the each day. Now here comes the good news for new year resolution planning and pragmatism can see you through your resolutions and before you know it you’d have turned over a new leaf, a day at a time -come this Happy New Year!
1. List Simple :
Set compact, easy manageable goals to start with. If you see yourself building an Eiffel Tower with the lego set you have handy, it goes without saying disappointment wont be far off.
2. Don’t compare :
This is a common strategy when it comes to New Year Resolutions. What may work for your friend or neighborhood may not work that effectively for you, that simply because you are a unique individual who has a totally different socio-psychological framework. like each thumb impression of the living person is unique. Then Priorities matter. Your neighbour or acquaintance may be working towards the same goal for a different reason together.new year resolution
3. Be Yourself :
The fact whether you are single or in a relationship, start with positive /inspirational yourself. Look inwards, dont look for what you don’t have. Introspect, ask yourself a couple of questions like – Am I truly happy with myself ? (Say yes, everything depends on thinking) What is it that I can improve ? then important thing is – Time Management. Unless you set aside a part of the day for yourself, so it’s next to impossible to build a happy, wholesome lifestyle ! get some time out for yourself. (new year resolutions)
4. Involve Spiritual :
Stress is the oldest & newest and surest foe we all have to encounter in some avatar or the other in our busy lifestyles. There however is an antidote – it’s called Meditation some may call spiritual. This doesn’t necessarily imply shelling out hundreds of dollars / rupees for the latest Yoga Class . The beauty of meditation is in the fact that you can practice even at home, or even in your workplace. Not only gives calmness to the mind, also it helps in improving your overall health.
5. Listen to Heart :
Get involved in your local community, friends or get in touch with a Charity or Not-for-Profit organisation that serves children, the elderly or even animals – if you are a nature lover. Visit them regularly or once a week and devote your time selflessly, you will marvel at the difference it makes. There are lot more things money cannot buy and this is where you will find it! Donate your old clothes, furniture, books, appliances etc to Relief Aid Organizations, instead of dumping them.
6. The key :
Turn off your mobile devices more frequently and step outdoors without them for a while every day. Switch off from the virtual world of e-mails and the internet and say hello to your next door neighbor instead. Work is important – but keeping life in fine balance is more important!
Whatever the New year resolutions set, be it losing weight or learning or fitness, keep track of your progress and don’t forget to reward yourself whenever you do achieve a milestone. If you feel tired or demotivated at some times, remember to keep little post- it’s in sight which have positive one liners such as ”You Can Do It!” and ” Keep going – you are almost there!”
